APPLICATION & ENROLLMENT
The Application Process

5 Accept Offer of Placement
1) If the applicant has not previously been a student of an Academy teacher or attended an
Open House, contact the Academy to arrange an orientation tour for the student. Parents are
also advised to review the
LCA Community Handbook as the Academy's most complete
articulation of its goals, methods, and policies.
2) Complete and submit an
Application for Admission with a check for the Application fee of $50.
The Academy's mailing address is 6902 Wolf Pen Branch Road, Prospect, KY 40059.
3) Upon receipt of the Application, the student will be invited to an interview with the faculty that
will include evaluation of the student's reading and math levels, as well as the student's prior
course work. The faculty may request additional information in order to insure a placement
decision in the child's best interest.
4) Within approximately one week of the student interview and receipt of any additional information
that may be requested, the Academy will notify the family of its placement decision. Students
seeking full enrollment who are accepted will receive an immediate Offer of Placement and
Enrollment Contract; students seeking individual courses who are accepted will receive a
provisional offer of placement and a date on which the offer of placement will be finalized.
5) The Academy's
Offer of Placement and Enrollment Contract which incorporates the policies
and terms of its
Handbook includes a Notice of Acceptance which the parents shall sign and
return to the Academy within the requested time period with a non-refundable Registration
Deposit of $100 for students in the full Core Program, or $25 per class for students taking less
than the full Core Program. The Registration Deposit will be applied to the first term tuition.
*The
Academy's admissions personnel are also teachers who must give priority to
teaching. We apologize in advance for occasions in which we are unable to
meet the above goals that we've established for timely communications.
